been there built one ran a L28 nissan with it great little unit but not worth the effort happy to meet up and share experiences butfor the time and effort required i could bye 3 ecu's ready to go and more features too!

How long does it take to make on these puppies?
Would a mega squirt be able to control a coil pack eg a distributorless ignition?

Takes 1-2 days to make the actual unit up, its not overly difficult if you have some soldering experience, and then maybe a day to hook up the sensors and run the wiring etc and actually get the engine started and idling. After that you probably need to put in a good day or two of dataloging and tuning to get a half decent tune. And yes they can contol a number of different ignition systems.

Where would you get 3 ECU's with more features ready to go for under $500?

Took me an easy 6 hours to put mine together (could be done a lot quicker if you were in a hurry). It will run coilpacks but you need an EDIS 6 module as well as some EF coilpacks. The edis module itself was not availiable in australian cars (ford implemented it inside the EEC itself), but you can get one from the US for about $60. I fitted a EA-ED dizzy to my EF and used the TFI to do spark.
