Hope someone can be of help. Every year when I used my air conditioner, I usually end up with a cold. Is there some way to be sure that bacteria and other things that might be injurious to your health can be removed short of an expensive overhaul of your air condition system. I have tried spraying a disinfectant such as Lysol in the louvers, but that doesn' t seem to help. Apppreciate any advice. Thanks.

Place an airconditioner filter on the grille of the blower motor and hold it in place with zip-ties. Works great, just remember to change the filter every couple of months.

By the way, the blower motor grille is located behind the glovebox
