I need to remove the passenger side axle on my 2000 P71, I've pulled the rotor and caliper off and opened up the rear diff. I undid the bolt and pulled the pin as well as pulled the spider gears, but now I'm stuck at getting the C-clip off the axle itself...There is a large S-shaped clip that connects both axles in the center that can be shifted but I'm a little lost on how it should be positioned to remove the C-clip.
Any help appreciated!

Just loosen the wheel speed sensor at the baxking plate and push the axle in to remove the clip. No need to remove the C-spring.

If you mean the one on the backing plate, yes. It takes a 10mm socket to loosen it and pulls back. You only have to loosen it so the axle pushes in far enough to remove the C-clip. When you push the axle in, you'll see it hits the sensor and won't go in far enough to remove the C-clip.

Well found out the bearing is crushed, reason why I couldn't push in the axle in the first place. Now I can't pull the axle out lol.
