What is the biggest battery (CCA) available for my 94GM. It uses a crappy 58-2 auto craft. I havent seen any optimas that fit (checked their site) any recommendations?

motorcraft makes an excellent battery believe it or not!

also i think i remember reading somewhere that autozones brand of battery was rated a best buy by consumer reports.

personally, i have always picked up interstate batteries. i have always loved them and they have a real good cca as well.

According to my Exide catalog, a '94 calls for a group 58 battery. A group 65 was optional, and a standard feature on Canadian models with a windshield heater. The 65 is about 2" longer in length, and height and width are close. Exide makes a battery similar to the Optima called Orbital. I have one in my Jeep and I am very pleased with it. Exide part number ORB78DT-84, and it is about an inch taller than the 58 and 65, and very close in the other dimentions. Suggested retail is $129.99, but that will vary depending on you supplier and region. 770CCA@0

Went with the motorcraft 65 from advance autoparts. My car is Canadian but the battery was not the factory size. Big difference! Thanks for the help!
