Buckets or bench?

My non-PI 2000 CV has the cloth bench seat and I'm wondering if the buckets are any more comfortable.

Is there anyone out there that has spent a good amount of time in each type?

Which do you prefer?

Thanks..

The buckets are great but not having an armrest sucks, believe me! I'll pony up for one someday.

Hmmm. I hadn't thought of going without the armrest. I do like it there, that's for sure. There must be some console-mounted rest you could adapt. The extra storage would be handy, too.

Are the PI buckets power?

Re: Buckets or bench?

There are a lot of armrests out there, both on the civilian and law enforcement market I just haven't gotten around to ordering one. My PI has an 8-way power driver's seat and a manual passenger.

I like my split Power bench seats.

Re: Buckets or bench?

couldnt the split bench seats be removed from the tracks? i have taken old lincoln seats where power seat controls were mounted in door... i installed the town car seats in a Grand Marquis and modded the town car seats to have the controls in them like a regular crown vic or grand marquis... i have pics of this mod... it was pretty easy and looked like the seats were made that way when i was done

That sounds like an interesting operation and would let you have the seats you want.
