confused Catalytic converter question?

Are the catalytic converters on my 94 Crown Vic(dual exhaust) bolted on or welded on? I know that I could just get under the car and look, but unfortunately, I do not have access to a lift, and my little floor jack only raises the car so far, and it's hard to squeeze my somewhat large body under it.

I need to replace the passenger side cat, and would rather do it myself if I can. Any help/info is greatly appreciated.

They're bolted on.

Re: Catalytic converter question?

most of the time the cat convertors are bolt to the exhaust manifold and at the back to the H pipe
