Changing 94 crown vic motor to 92 body!!!
Okay guys, I need some help, please. I had a wreck and completely totaled my beloved 94 crown vic. I have owned her since day 1 with .5 miles on her. The motor and transmission are clean. No leaks, drips, smoke, noise or problems. I just didn't want any car payments right now, so I pilfered around until I found a perfect 1992 crown vic body. It has a motor, but it's bad. It has a transmission, but mine is better. Some moron broke the gear selector in it also. I dropped the 94 motor and trans into the 92 body and transfered my gear selector to it also. It runs great....with a few problems.
1. The 94 had a OD (overdrive) button on the end of the gear selector. The 92 has an OD spot on the gear selector panel. How and where do I hook up the wires that go from the gear selector? The wiring harness on the 92 doesn't have the hook-up for it.
2. I did a test run today. No passing gear. Again, the 94 wiring is different than the 92. How or what and where should I check to get the passing gear back to working?
Please help. Thanks in advance. D
