clicking while driving

My sway bar mount on the drivers side has broken off due to an accident that bent the freme in that corner (before I bought it) when I got the car it was attached as far as I could see but pretty obvious it had been hit or hit something in that corner

Anyway, since it has fallen off it previously did nothing but make the car have a lot of body roll (about a week ago) now sometimes I hear a lot of clicking noises coming from that side, im welding the mount in place because of a dent in the frame making it impossible to screw back in as soon as I can

But any other ideas on what it could possibly be

Re: clicking while driving

Weld a sheet of metal over the dent and put new holes in it. Never weld the sway bar mount to the frame!! You will cause major problems. Measure the distand of the sway bar mount thats still on and put the holes ruffly in the same spots. If you need I have new sway bar rubber gromets and a set of mounts if you need one, but tons of automotive places have generic ford car sway bar mounts. As for a front bumper pushed in (sounds like it) just hammer the bumper shock back out. Its a tube that goes into a plastic hole on the frame. I got a ton of those too if need be.

Re: clicking while driving

Thanks Bluesteel

I think I will just go to NAPA or something and get a sway bar mount, I would probably have a little wait if I were to get it from you and I was thinking the same thing as you when you mentioned welding new metal to the frame. as for the bumper it is where it is supposed to be right now
