You don't want to put in one of the reusable oiled air filters. Several car makers have TSBs out on those. The oiled cotton fibers break off and bake onto the hot wire inside the MAF sensor. Sometimes you can clean it off, but many times it's baked on and you have to replace the MAF for $125. One reuseable filter manufacturers says it never happens. But it's such a huge problem that GM has issued a bulletin to all dealers telling them there's NO warranty on MAFs if customer uses an oiled filter.
Buyer beware.
