Considering buying a 1996 Grand Marquis...please advise.
First post, so I hope this educates me and someone else. I'm looking at a 1996 MGM with 86,000 miles on it. It's an LS model, fully loaded with self-leveling suspension and the whole bit. The body and interior are nothing short of excellent for a 12 year old car. The fluids all look good and the car runs and rides very well. The steering is a little light compared to my Taurus, but I think that's to be expected. The owner will take $3600, but I'd like to know what I'm getting myself into for such an old car. It still has a plastic intake which I know will need to be replaced at some point. However, I've also seen issues on the forums w/freeze plugs as well as ball joints. Will someone please walk me through what else may be an issue and let me know your thoughts on the price?
Thanks!
