Coolant temp sensor the same between 302 and 351?

Need to replace my coolant temp sensor and lordco shows having one for a 351 with a light instead of a gauge. Are they the same sensor? (mines the 88 302 FI) thanks.

Re: Coolant temp sensor the same between 302 and 351?

If you are talking about the ECT (engine coolant temp sensor) for the electronic engine control. The one for 5.0 and 5.8 are the same. If you are changing the temp sensor (sending unit) for the engine temp gauge. The sender for the guage is diff then the sender for the warning light only system. Hope this helps.
