Crown Vic Belt routing help!! - Ford Forums - Mustang Forum, Ford Trucks, Ford Focus and Ford Cars

Hey guys,
I'm currently in the final stages of building what i believe is an 1984 Crown Vic LTD 5.0L engine.. i know the block is 1984-87 302 flat tappet engine. I got this from a farmer in a 1989 mustang body , which he had done some "backyard enginerring" to. The belt and pulley set-up he had just seems wrong to me. Can anyone tell me which way the waterpump should be rotating, and if I need another pulley somewhere?

The Picture below is not my engine that Im building, but has this exact pulley set-up.

I don't think an 84 to 87 302 had a reverse rotation water pump. Will turn clockwise.
