Bert, thanks for the reply. I certainly hope there is a way to manually advance the seat (I can't believe Chevy had a better idea in the 80's )The only possible way I can see to getting at the back inside bolt is with a 16" air driven wrench (I saw one used once on the assembly line of Corvettes !!)

nope it keeps rapidly tripping the circuit break in the panel under the hood---found the correct one quickly--it is metal encased and i melted my fingers when I grabbed if firmly to pull it out--ouch ouch :
