Question Crown Vic rear spring prob

I just installed a pair of high-end carbon Moog heavy duty cargo springs in my 82 CV, and the left rear tire well is sitting an inch lower most of time. Not always tho' If the temps are cold its not as bad. IOW it varies between 1 and 2 inches, but its always lower on the left. SO's the front on the same side. I heard that the front spring might be the problem. Or, do I have a defective spring? Hard to understand that?

Re: Crown Vic rear spring prob

Are you positive all the springs are seated properly?

I don't know. I had a pro put them in. Is there any sort of trick to it? He's a damn fine mechanic actually.

Sounds like Feshmeat is right sounds like the spring did not seat properly.

I've only helped seat springs once. We drove about 30mph down a gravel road and hit LOTS of bumps.

Re: Crown Vic rear spring prob

Check your springs to make sure they are set properly, if they are one of two choices, yank the old springs, and return them, or buy a "helper sring" and put it on your left hand side, most times that will also correct a sagging suspension spring.
