CVPI Extended Ford Warranty
I recently obtained a 2001 CVPI with 2,000 miles--it is in near-new shape, reportedly having been used for Ford factory security.
The basic 3 year/36,000 miles warranty will expire this November. I inquired whether I could get a Ford ESP, but was told that because it was a "police car" it didn't qualify. Is this really the case? I would think that since a significant part of the expense associated with ESP's is pure profit, there would be a way to waive this rule, especially when the car is clearly not in police service.
Any thoughts?
