Your stiff ride is a combination of stiffer springs found on the P-71, and stiffer shocks. I don't know if changing to softer dampened shocks would make enough difference to justify the price, but you might check with the auto parts clerk, or various web sites, to see if any standard CV shocks interchange with the police package shocks
As I recall, you live in Cabo San Lucas. I have a second home in Baja and am familiar with the streets in Cabo and surrounding areas. If you are still in Mexico, you might want to keep the suspension the way it is to keep from bottoming out on some of the rougher roads.
