my mom was trying to do me a favor by removing the old rings from my pistons so I would have less work. She ended up getting them out of order and I got 4 that I do not know which cylinder they came out of. How dangerous is this? Could there be problems even though every piston seems to fit just right? I heard people say its fine, I heard people say thats a fatal error, which is it and why?
Is it possible to put the rods on backwards on the cam? How Do i know whats going on? How can i identify the issue? Also the pistons on this 1984 crown vc have little notches or lines on one side of the surface of the piston head, what can that tell me?
