Can someone take me thru the steps on replacing this pulley, also can a wobbelypulley cause my car to shudder at 50 mph

1. Remove the engine cooling fan and fan shroud.
2. Remove the drive belt.
3. Remove the crankshaft pulley bolt.
4. Use the Crankshaft Damper Remover to remove the crankshaft pulley.
To install
1.Note: The crankshaft pulley must be installed within four minutes after applying the silicone. Apply silicone to the woodruff key slot on the crankshaft pulley.
2. Use an installer to install the crankshaft pulley. (I tap it on a little and tighten it down with the bolt.)
3. Install the bolt and washer. Tighten the bolt in four steps.
Step 1: Tighten to 90 Nm (66 lb-ft).
Step 2: Loosen the bolt.
Step 3: Tighten to 47-53 Nm (34-39 lb-ft).
Step 4: Tighten an additional 85-90 degrees.
4. Install the drive belt.
5. Install the engine cooling fan and the fan shroud.

2. what kind of silicone do i use, how much, and where is the woodruff thing at lol

That tool will work but you may never need it again. They loan tools for free. Check this page. AutoZone.com | In Our Stores | Loan-A-Tool Program | Pullers - Specialized

The slot inside the pulley is the woodruff key slot. Here's a picture of one inside of a gear. http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedi...lel_keyway.png

Just use RTV silicon from AutoZone or any parts store. It doen't take much.

the one in the link i showed is the one im renting, but im quite confused on how to use the tool hopefully it will have directions with it, also do you think im going to be able to untighten that bolt with a standard ratchet

wow your awesome bert, this is the used one im putting on. u should see the one on my car almost half the rubber isnt there lol and its wobbeling really bad.

How much did you have to pay for it? The Dorman one at Rockauto is $42 without the discount.
