New to the forum.

I have a 99 GM. As you know, the doors lock automatically when you start the engine. This is a big aggravation to me.

Is there a way to disable this automatic function and just lock and unlock the doors manually with the switch?

You can disable the auto lock. If you read the owners manual, you have to enter some #s on the digital door entry. This worked on my 97. I don't know if the code is unique to each car.If you lost your manual, reply and I will post the details on how to disable.
