There were no lights installed where the big round white plastic one is. You'd have to get a headliner from a used one and replace it.

Re: Dome light - crown vic

That is interesting. I looked at 2 other 07-08 crown vics on the dealer lot Saturday & they had center dome lights so I am pretty sure it came with one. I was just gonna buy one on ebay & install it but wanted to make sure which years were interchangeable.

The normal position is about a foot behind the rear view mirror. Maybe yours didn't have the headliner of the normal P71 and they installed it where the regular civilian dome light goes. I'm not sure of what years fit, but the ones with the reading lights had a bigger cutout in the headliner on some of the older ones. You can search for a usded one here. Re: Dome light - crown vic

You could be right. Its got a overhead console with 2 reading lights & compass & 2 lights near the rear window for reading. I guess I will just buy a standard crown vic dome light & hook it up. Thansk for the info
