driver seat compatibility question

What years are the drivers seats compatible? Specifically on the police cruiser model, but I'm guessing they are all the same? Are there ranges of years (like 00-04, 04-06), or if it's a crown vic, it's crown vic....you know?

TIA

J

Re: driver seat compatibility question

Any will bolt into any P71 but the seatbelts would have to be changed to go with them.

Re: driver seat compatibility question

There's a break in compatibility due to a change in the floorpan, but I can't remember the year. I'm sure you can find the ranges on other sites & BBSs whose links I'm apparently not allowed to post.

i have a pair of P71 Crown Victorias... one in my signature is one of them... the original P71s were 2 doors till discontinued in 1987... than in 1992 they reissued the P71 to be used as fleet model.

1987 was first year of P71 designation used as 2 door VIN.

if anything on the seats, get seats you want and re-use the tracks and mod if necessary to seats you get. i know that the box models were all interchangeable between Crown Vic, Grand Marquis, and Town Cars. i have seats from Town Cars in 2 of the cars here... easiest but time consuming is experimenting at junkyard if possible
