dry start?

rsymonds Registered User Join Date: May 2005 Posts: 5	dry start? 2003 crown vic...whenever it sits for any amount of time when I start it it sounds like the oil has drained down and I get a dry start (rod knocks)for about 1 second. I think it will be much more noticable as the weather gets cooler. I have tried a Ford and a NAPA gold oil filter with no change in the situation. Any ideas?
