*DUW*'89 Crown Vic bodywork

here are pictures of bodywork i am in process of helping girlfriend with. it is her car, and doing lotsa repairs to make it look like a true representable Crown Victoria. it was ground down to bare metal, studs welded and pulled and tapped with body hammer to form back into shape, body filled low spots , cheese grated, sanded with 36, 80 than 180 grit than primed... all the work was done from outside without removal of interior trim.

Re: *DUW*'89 Crown Vic bodywork

of course i will post pictures painted.... we are going over the WHOLE car pulling and tapping all dents and dings out of the body that we find. its not exactly a frame off restore or anything, but the car will look better than all the clear coat crap pealing. i have been trying to talk the girlfriend into doing a mild pearl effect to the car for an extra kick, and she keeps asking why.... i tell her, you want your car to grab attention, make the paint really stand out. we were gonna be doing more body work today, but it is raining and the guys place we were working at has a '32 Ford and a early 80s Chevy truck in his shop. so we cant get in outta the rain.

Re: *DUW*'89 Crown Vic bodywork

well... a lot has happened in last few weeks... now if the weather would hold off, the car would be painted... the car is in full primer with new vinyl and so far only underside of hood is painted .... did a special effect of marblizing the hood in the flat areas... just waiting for rain to pass and then get the car finish block sanded and PAINT!!! like i said... i been busy.
