Re: Fault Codes

P0102 Means the MAF has low voltage reading. Check the connections at the MAF. Cleaning the MAF with MAF cleaner will help the running but won't cause any codes. Here's a link to explain it further. OBD-II Trouble Code: P0102 Mass Air Flow (MAF) Circuit Low Input

P0112 Means the IAT (intake air sensor) reads low voltage. Here's a link for this code. P0112 Intake Air Temperature Circuit Low Input - DTC Code

Hope these help. Post back if you have more questions.

Re: Fault Codes

I should have mentioned to check all the connections ie. to the MAF, the coolant temp sensor and engine harness.

Re: Fault Codes

Sorry about the misread. P0113 Means the IAT (intake air sensor) reads high voltage. OBD-II Trouble Code: P0113 Intake Air Temperature Circuit High Input

Re: Fault Codes

Thanks again Bert,I've not driven the car yet but the guy I'm buying it from says it shifts erratically and stalls etc,but after reading these diagnosis of the fault codes thrown up it seems unlikely to be these codes that are causing this stalling etc.

Re: Fault Codes

Many times a dirty MAF causes running problems and running problems can cause shifting problems. Try cleaning the MAF to see if that helps the running, It can't cause codes by being dirty.

Re: Fault Codes

Bert,It does have these codes coming up and driving it is a nightmare as it stalls unexpectedly and after a few minutes starts and drives OK for another 10 miles and then stalls again. This could be a tricky one for us to sort out over here.

Re: Fault Codes

Can you check the short and long term fuel trim? Also check the volts at the MAF. It should be .6 to .9 on the tan/lt blue to black/white at idle and 0.0 to .2 key on engine off.
