Fuel Injector leak

Hi all! The names Matt and im new to the forum as well as domestic cars. I recently picked up two Crown Victoria 4.6l p71s. An 04 and an 05 both with around 120k. So far I really love the simplicity and fuel consumption compared to my German luxo barges! lol Now to the issue at hand, today my 2004 developed a cyl 4 misfire. So I changed the plugs, and as I was doing so I noticed fuel puddling up around the injector on cyl 4. I then proceeded to replace the injector but the problem is still there and the fuel is still puddling up. Is there a seal I have to replace? Im at a loss on what to do next! Thanks :D

Re: Fuel Injector leak

Welcome to the forums Matt. There should be O'rings on the injector. Can you see where it's coming from when it's pressurized?

Re: Fuel Injector leak

No under normal idle the car does not have a misfire. Its only under load about 3k rpms when it starts to misfire and I notice the small amount of fuel build up. Tomorrow I will check the O ring on the new injector. I forgot to put tranny fluid around the o rings so I will do that. Sometimes they wont seal correctly if thats not done.
