Yes, as Bert states. It's a small black squarish device that mounts on the front passenger side fuel rail and has an electrical connector and a vacumn line. It's called a "fuel rail pressure sensor" and tells the computer what the pressure is at any given time. This fuel flow is adjusted by the computer IIRC.
If you suspect the device is bad, pull the vacumn line and smell for gas. Should not be any. If gas is present then the diaphram inside the sensor is bad. It's an expensive little bugger.
Is there a CEL associated with this? Sometimes a clogged fuel filter can cause bad readings. Change filter if it hasn't been changed in 15K miles.
