Grand Marquis timing

I have a 1978 Mercury Grand Marquis with a 460. I want to time it. Which is the #1? Front left or front right as I am standing in front of the car looking at the engine? If front left, it is timed perfectly

Thanks.

Looking at the front of the engine, of course. Sounds like you've got it right.

A '78 with a 460? Man- you'd better post some pictures of that beast!!
