I am trying to fix my mothers 01' grand marquis. The headlights and interior lights come on like you unlocked the doors with the remote. Stay on a few seconds and go off. then repeat...then repeat. I have searched here and didn't see anything like it. Some similar post. I could use any help here!!!

I have the same problem with my car. Do you have your lights on autolamp? I did but switched to manual and it seems to not happen as often but I have yet to come up with a complete remedy.

If your car has remote entry, try removing the batteries from both of your remotes. I had a similar problem with my car after replacing the batteries in the remotes. It turned out that one of my remotes had a bad switch that was shorting the remote and unlocking and locking my car, and therefor turning on/off the lights if I had autolamp turned on.
