hello, I found the carpet wet behind the drivers seat, I also notice a coolant odor when using the heating. Can water get in the car through the ventilation system? or the car has a bad heater core? If it is the core, how difficult is to replace it? Thanks for any answers.

Coolant odor is almost a sure sign of a bad heater core. Have you windows started fogging with an oily film yet? That usually happens also. The wet carpet behind the drivers seat can be lots of things including a leaking windows glass.

As for replacing it? I'll let Bert or someone who knows more help you with that.

typical heater core change requires dash removal to get at heater core to replace... i have experience in this but on my own cars i have taken short cut by just accessing and making/modding a panel to remove heater core after only removing glove box ...
