Help... does this car come with a cd player??? - Ford Forums

OK, sounds a bit like a stupid post... but... my son inherited a 1998 Grand Marquis LS (lucky kid).

We're looking at what seems to be the stock radio and there is a button labeled CD, but can't find the CD slot. Looked in the glove compartment and trunk even....

Has it got one?

Any help is VERY much appreciated. I'm pulling what little hair I have over this. THANKS.

Weird. If the slot isn't right there in the head unit, I'm going to guess it probably doesn't have one, but can you post a picture of it, perhaps?

My 98 came with the same stock radio with the CD button. After looking though a factory brochure I found it listed as an upgraded radio (Premium AM/FM stereo cassette/ with radio data system) The CD button is for the optional 6 disc trunk mounted CD changer.
