Hey Gents/Ladies - Ground Floor Newbie

Needing a family land yacht as I just found out that me and Mrs. Perfect are having twins. After I feel to the floor (fainted), and many docs/nurses helping me up (one tried to sonogram me i think!).....I had the thought, Oh crap I am needing a bigger car!

I am a big guy (not to get personal, but dimensions are a key) with an 05 camry, drop dead reliablity (i know, not american)....but it is too freaking small in all ways.

Looking a a 06 or 07 Merc....partial to Crown Vics as I had a 93 SHO that was my dream car (had to put her down at 186k)...but in my area of Tx, it seems more Mercs for resale. Any thoughts or help, for a new father of 3 (i already have one ankle biter). i think i can squeeze out on 06 or 07, used, low miles......and the thing looks huge...both cars.....only thing i don't like is all the crome, is it hard to take it off, i like clean lines.......

Many thanks, have enjoyed reading yall's posts..................

Re: Hey Gents/Ladies - Ground Floor Newbie

They're excellent cars. Test drive it, sit in all the seats, see if you think it's big enough to fit your needs, see if you like how it drives, and if all seems well, go for it.

As for removing the chrome trim, as you can see from my signature, I know more specific stuff about the older cars, so I'm not entirely sure what all can be removed on a newer car. On the old ones, a lot of it can be removed with no problem whatsoever. It wouldn't surprise me if that's the case on the newer ones, or if you decide to get creative, you could probably paint a lot of it body color...
