I unscrewed the old mirror, and cut the cable. How do I get to the connector within the door to disconnect the old cable and connect the new one? What door panels do I have to take off and how do I do that? Any help will be really appreciated. I can fix a computer, but when it comes to cars I am still learning...

You have to remove the right front door panel and follow the wires down to a connector within the door. If when done the mirrors do not work I would check the fuse, because cutting live wires could have blown it.

Maybe I'm missing something, but why did you feel the need to cut the wires?
