Thanks, I found the IAC, man is is buried on the 92 GM 4.6! Then again everything is- I guess the engineers bury everything these days to discourage owner maintainence (bring it to the dealer to replace the EGR- heck on my truck and cougar- two bolts 20 minutes, presto!)
Anyway- got off track! What I have now is a code 556, which according to Chilton for a 92 G/M is: Fuel pump primary circuit failure. I replaced the IAC PFE and EGR Vacuum regulator- I tried to get the EGR off; but the bizzaro monkey finger micro hydraulic wrench is loaned out right now

. The old EGR is still in place.
Now the check engine light is off; but I am getting a 111 followed by a 556 ?!?!
The car stumbles at part throttle and has severe power loss at uphill load. I suspect a vacuum leak; but can't seem to find one. Could this be The primary fuel system (where to check?) or is it the EGR- I cleaned the hell out of the channels under the TB elbow that lead to the EGR. OR is there a chronic leak in this sytem that is really snealky?
Thanks,
