Fuzzy from MN

Hi, I am just learning about the distributor less coils and I have a 2000 Grand Marquis. I am wondering about what brand would work the best. I dont need anything for performance I just want to do a tune-up and figured while I am at it I will change them as well. What brand do you recommend and about how much is it going to cost for all 8 of them? What kind of spark plugs should I get? I want to do an all around tune-up and want to make sure I dont miss anything. What else do you suggest that I do? It has just over 107k miles on it and I bought it about a year ago. I have done a tranny flush and new filter but other than just your regular oil changes and I havent done much else. Any suggestions on things that I should do would be appreciated. I know the basics about cars but wouldnt be able to tear an engine apart anytime soon.

For a tune-up, get Autolite or Motorcraft platinum plugs. Change the fuel filter and clean th MAF with the special MAF cleaner. Check the airfilter and replace if needed. Make sure to torque the plugs with a torque wrench. To tight and they can pull the threads when the engine gets hot and stretches. To loose and they can blow out too. Torque them 7 to 15 ft lbs torque.

If you're tuning her up, you might as well replace the fuel filter and clean the throttle plate too. Those are also standard items that are addressed by a lot of garage mechanics.
