After I turn off my car and shut the door the interior lights turn off, then a few seconds later they turn back on. Later (about a minute or so) the lights will turn off again only to turn back on. I think this is because the car is set so that interior lights automatically turn off after a certain amount of time when the car is off, but something is turning them back on every time. All the doors are slammed shut and the interior light switch is off and the interior lights will still come on. I have a 99 Grand Marquis.

It's possible one of the switches in the doors is sticking. Try spraying WD40 in the door latch hole, open and close the door a few times, and see if that helps.

Mine turns off and on randomly at night with the car off. I think it is the door touch pad. Because the pad lights up before the dome lights when you touch the pad or it does it randomly. Where as is you unlock the car with say the remote the dome lights come on first and then the pad lights up. Hmm. I will lube the door switches and see what happens but I just noticed this problem maybe 8 hours after a washed it with my little power washer. Which makes me think some water got inside the touch pad.
Thanks for the advice. Any more tips would be awesome.

What about white lithium? Or is that to thick for this you think?

Lithium would be good for the latch itself but the WD40 is needed to get to the switch.

Remove the door panels (read the caption of the thumbnail below) and disconnect 1 door latch or handle connector at a time to find out which one is triggering the LCM.
