Question irregular idle
My Crown Victoria 92 V8 has a problem of irregular idle (fluctuation of the idle). Anybody who knows how to eliminate the problem?

In most cars an irregular idle is caused by a bad or dirty IAC. Idle air controller. That's assuming no other mechanical or electrical malady.

Other symptoms might be the car wanting to die when the air conditioner compressor kicks in.

My 92 Crown Vic has the same problems, It was the mass air flow sensor (MAF) sensor, I disconnected that and it idled better but still irregular, I took it to a mechenic and he told me that I need a new computer.
