Question Last Year for Grand Marquis?

This question probably sounds real dumb but is 08 the last year for the Grand Marquis?

Re: Last Year for Grand Marquis?

This is sad news. The best (in my opinion) car Ford puts out and they discontinue it.

What does "fleet only" mean exactly...only bulk orders will be sold?

Re: Last Year for Grand Marquis?

It means they'll only be available to organizations that want to buy an entire fleet of them, i.e., police departments and livery companies.

Re: Last Year for Grand Marquis?

dang man didn't know 08 was the end of the line. I had heard that the Crown Vic would probably go into fleet in mid-08 but wasnt sure of the Grand Marquis.

With the closing of the Wixom plant I knew the TC was supposed to move production to the St Thomas plant. wonder if that's still gonna happen?

Re: Last Year for Grand Marquis?

I was told that the rear wheel drive platform that underpins the Vic and Marquis was sometime in 2010 as demand for the model is still relatively high and Ford should have a replacement rwd sedan by that time - in production of course.
