My P71 Crown Vic has LED in each power window switch but they were not connected. I soldered a jumper wire between pin 12 (orange w/black stripe wire) and pin 19 (yellow w/light green wire) on the driver's switch panel. Now my switches light up at night! Very nice option!

Could you explain how to get the door panel apart without breaking it?

I'd be happy to "try" to explain it. To access the light switch panel, push the side of the panel toward the door until the tiny ridges clear (it will bend about 1/16th inch) then lift the outer edge up. Once the outer edge is up you can pull it away from the door. Remember if it isn't easy, you are doing it wrong!

To remove the door panels, first pry off the cover surrounding the door handle. I started at the front edge, popped it loose and removed it.
Next remove the switch panel. You will find one Phillips Head screw behind the panel. Remove it.
Now simply lift up on the entire panel until it clears the "L" shaped clips and the door lock knob. Pull it away from the door after it clears. The panel doesn't snap on, it actually hangs in place.
