confused Loose contact in '04 hvac - but where?

So here is how it all started...

Cruising along in my 2004 LX, every now and then (AC set to AUTO) the hvac blower would give a burst of air. It would go to full speed just for a fraction of a second. Over time it has increased to where it now is running at full speed about 50% of the time. When it does, a sharp right curve will straighten it out every time, but mostly just for as long as the curve is. Accelerating fast sometimes does the trick too.
The air temperature stays as it should, so it is not a problem with the thermometer. Manually adjusting the fan speed does not work either.
Any suggestions greatly appreciated!
Thank you.

There's nothing inherent in the system. All you can do is have it on and wiggle the connections.

It has a blower motor speed controller under the hood. It may be acting up

VERY possible that that's what's doing it.
