I have a 1998 CVPI i was wondering what would have to be changed to get a marauder motor in mine?

Re: Motor Swap

i know the Marauder engine is built WAY different... such as aluminum instead of iron, more valves, and stuff... you will probably need the computer and airbox setup also... suspension and things should be changed since you are in turn enhancing the performance... Bert would know more on this

Re: Motor Swap

I'd question whether it would even fit without major modification since the front suspension was totally redesigned in 2003 when the Marauder debuted.

Re: Motor Swap

The cheapest and least painful way to wring some power out of your car is too look for performance parts designed for the Mustang. Prior to 2005, the Mustang shared the 2V version of the 4.6L engine and a lot of aftermarket equipment targeted at that generation of Mustang will fit directly or with little modification on your CV.
