I have a 95 GM what could i bypass with it not hindering the emissions (anyway to help me engine run a little better)

if there is anything can you also tell me what it does and how bypassing it works?

your car has the 4.6L in it... the car he was asking has the 5.0L engine. the 4.6L is a lil more money consuming to build compared to a 5.0L... i know more about the 5.0L SEFI engines from 1986-1991...

Re: My car is all messed up.

I would love to know what all I could bypass and still have a good running motor. It has been raining here the last couple of days so I haven't been able to go out there and work on it at all. It isn't supposed to rain tomorrow so I plan to get out there and start yanking stuff out. I just need to know what all I need to put back in. Also what do you guys think about a 351 going in my 88? If you think it will be too much of a pain I will just leave the 302 in it. I don't need to take the heads off to get the lower intake off do I?

Re: My car is all messed up.

heads can stay on to remove lower intake... you will need the fuel line disconnect tool things to pop the lines off the fuel rail and disconnect wiring from injectors and sensors on lower intake. if you remove the lower intake, after putting it back together, do an oil change and fresh coolant in the car. if you dont, you will wash the lower bearings and fry the engine.

This may sound stupid, but what do you mean wash the lower bearings. I had planned to drain the oil and coolant before I go any further. Will there be some coolant that is left in the engine that I need to get out somehow? Also what would be the best way to plug the smog holes in the back of the heads. Also without the smog pump and all that other stuff, do I need to keep my cats on or can I take them out? Will my check engine light be on all the time? No big deal if it is or not. Thanks.

Re: My car is all messed up.

Okay, so I went and bought the tool to remove the fuel line. Now how do I use it. I can't figure out how to get it disconnected. I'm sure it is a lot easier than what I'm making it but I can't get the damn things undone.

Re: My car is all messed up.

Push the hoses together when you push the tool in, then pull the hoses apart with the tool pushed in.
