I like it. Sweet wheels. Got to have a nice soft ride. I always liked the 97s, the strait tail lights, love'm. You got to love those big grands and crowns, you can put any motor in it :) Try putting a 7.5L V8 in a esscort  Fits better in a full size car :)
Sharp car- could you tell me more about the wheels? never heard of GTC...been kinda looking for a set of the 16x7 6mm offset spoked wheels for 93-96 crown vic/marquis, to put on an old Galaxie, but the used prices are higher than new aftermarket...your wheels look similar, would like to know where to find some...
Any info appreciated- Tim

Tim,
The signature you are reading in my posts are for my weekend warrior, named, the " BMNLSC ". My daily commuter is currently my stock 1997 Mercury GM, shown above. If you click on the link in my sig, " BMNLSC " you will go to the website, where you can see the GTC wheels up close.
But to answer your question about the wheels, I need to provide you a little history of where and why the came about. So here goes, Lincoln contracted Cars and Concepts, also known as C & C, to build a special Mark VII, which was named the GTC (Grand Touring Coupe). This consisted of a special body kit and had Jack Roush assistance in building the motor and suspension. You had a choice of having a higher horsepower 5.0L HO 302 motor or a 5.8L HO 351 motor. In addition you could have ordered a 5 speed manual transmission and/or the GTC rims. The GTC's were made from 1986 - 1988, however, there are rumors that they were made in 1989. Oh the last option was the color...you could have any color you wish as long as it was Black. Now since you know a little history of Lincoln Mark VII's, let's move onto the rims. As an option you could have ordered the GTC rims as mentioned above. These rims were made in Germany by BBS, the size was 16 x 8's. They look the same as the Mark VII 16 x 7 mesh rims, which were available from 1990-1992, however you cannot mistake the stance the 16 x 8 rims give your car.
Well, I am not sure if Mercury calls it this, but Ford uses this abbreviation for their Crown Victoria's, if ordered. There are normally three options added which make the vehicle the HPP. The heavy suspension components, higher horsepower rating (due to the true dual exhaust system) and higher gear ratios, is called the HPP or High Performance Package.
