Comparing a HPP Crown Vic/Grand Marquis to a Crown Vic Sport, in my opinion is like comparing dogs and cats. Sure they have four legs, 4 paws, claws, whiskers, tails, however, put those traits aside and you still have totally different characteristics to list between the two. I believe there to be two, perhaps three, major differences between the Crown Vic Sport and the HPP models. The Crown Vic Sport has 17 inch wheels and a center console shifter, as opposed to the HPP's 16 inch wheels and a column shifter. The third difference is the rear trunk spoiler addition on the Sport...but this may be an add-on that you have to request.
Personally, I would love to have a Crown Vic Sport, as opposed to either models with the HPP. To be honest, I would love to have the Crown Vic Sport over the Marauder. I think the 18 inch wheels is definitely overkill, making the ass end of the Marauder look like the back end of a Subaru Brat 4 x 4 (height wise). I could stick a Vortech in the Crown Vic Sport and say bye bye.
I will let the experts chime in on the differences...there may be more regarding the suspension and brakes. Hope this helps.
