Need Help with a 1980 Grand Marquis

Hi all!

So here is the problem. I just rebuilt the Carb and put it back in. Got all the Lines wires and whatnot hooked up and started it...Once it started it made a high pitched squealing noise. At first I thought something was up with the belt but its fine. I tried to shift the car and it just dies. Can anyone help me?
