I have a 92 Mercury Grand Marquis. recently I was at a local junk yard and found a 93 Police Interceptor, I am having them take the dual exhaust off of it for me and i will be installing that hopefully this week.

The question i have is, are there any other parts that would be worth while to grab off of the police car to upgrade my marquis, im not sure what parts are different between the two models , wondering about the Air box / sensor ? throttle body? The computer or any chips in it ?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. also if anyone has a link with the part numbers that would be great too.

Have them grab the driveshaft off of it as well, it's a higher strength, lightweight design made from aluminum. You won't notice an appreciable difference from swapping any intake parts as they were pretty much homogenous across the line until the Marauder came out. Switching computers will only cause you a headache and there really isn't much difference anyhow. The CVPI idles at a higher RPM, shifts harder, has a 30mph higher speed limiter, and doesn't have the correct coding for most of the interior luxury features on your car.

maybe the rear gears if you would like them, they're probably a higher ratio, the axle tag would tell for sure.

Thanks for the replies, i picked up the exhaust today and its in good shape, hopefully i will have it installed before the end of the week. i cant wait to see what kind of gains i get from it.
