Need a little help with 2000 Grand Marquis

I was searching for a good forum to join about my grand marquis, and I found this one! Thanks in advance for any help anyone could provide.

I have a 2000 Mercury Grand Marquis. Just recently, I have been having some weird issues. When I open the drivers side door, the trunk pops open sometimes. Then once I get in, if I use my FOB or press the lock/unlock button on the door, the door locks keep clicking over and over again. I only press the door lock on the drivers side, but all the doors start clicking. If you hold UNLOCK the clicking stops, but once you let go some of the doors will start back.

From asking around friends, people said it could be a fuse(number 8) under the hood, or the DDM?

Maybe damaged wires in the door jamb. Rubber boot that allows the wires to go from door to the body may have some broken, shorted wires in it.

Would pulling off door pannel be the best way to see this wiring, and would it be in a certain spot?

You would see it better and find it easier to repair with door trim off , but quick look under rubber boot first might be advisable .
