need performance info on 1996, 1997 Crown Vic - Ford Forums - Mustang Forum, Ford Trucks, Ford Focus and Ford Cars

Ok here is question looking at getting one love them for many reasons would get a p71 (old cop car) but i can't own a car and not mess with it anyplace to get cams for them or will cams from mustang 4.6l work on them if nothing else would a mustang 4.6l swap be easy with out changing the whole wire harness? thanks for any help guys

Ok update incase anyone is interested 1996 if a crown vic has an 8th leter in vin number being a "6" then it DOES use the same crankshaft and same heads that a 1996 mustang does which means you SHOULD be able to get performance cams for a mustang for ur crown vic cause it should have same cranking order, and firing order. I am going to check cam bearings just to check it and make sure but just incase someone was interested by my question or if anyone can make good use of it.
