I currently have the single out exhaust and I want to go to duals without the loud sounding exhaust. What have you guys done to get the new exhaust but not so much the noise? I heard Gibson is good and the local muffler shop sells that brand.

If you don't want any noise, go with the stock mufflers and if you want just a low growl, go with a turbo exhaust. You can always go with the flowmaster,they have different styles to choose from with varying levels of noise from excrusiating to mondane

What year car? Also pretty much all the CV's and GM's have four cats so no matter what muffler you put on it will be quite. So what I would get is Flowmaster delta Flow 40 series, It will give you a nice tone and out flows a stock muffler but is quite like the stock muffler.

He is right. those four cats make the car quiet no matter what muffler you use. I have glass packs on my car and you would swear that I had a stock muffler on it. Have it done right and make sure there are no leaks. You won't be dissapointed no matter what.

I had stock Mustang headers (2.25" collector), free-flowing Catco catalytic converters (two), H-pipe, and Flowmaster 3-chamber mufflers plumbed with 2.5" piping and it sounds REALLY good. There's hardly any sound at idle and normal driving, but when I mash it, that's when the sound comes through... but it's still not at all obnoxious.

I'm now running FRPP shorty headers (2.5" collector), but I haven't ran it again, yet. However, when I DO run it, I won't be a good point of reference because I'm gonna have nearly twice your horsepower.
