first off, hi. i am new to the forum, i have a 99 crown vic with 90,000 miles on it. my problem just started, it stalls when you take your foot off the gas, any suggestions? i read the codes and it had one that was p1311, the other one was c6200. any help would be appreciated

I don't see those codes listed on the OBD-II code list. As for your problem, sounds like a typical IAC issue. The Idle Air Control valves are notorious for failing on these motors. It's definitely a DIY job if you're even half decent at turning wrenches. The part is $50 for a Wells unit from Autozone and I believe up around $100 for the Motorcraft part if you want the OEM replacement.

thanks for the quick replies, i think it is the idle air control valve, i tapped on it with the butt end of a screwdriver and it started and idled fine. i will get one and replace it soon. thanks
