Hi there, I am thinking of buying this 01 police interceptor with 113k miles on it for $1875 as a second car as my Lincoln LS sits for the winter. So I came on here to search for possible problems these cars have. I know they are really reliable, my friend has a 94 with 297k miles and going strong.

Is there specific things that go wrong with this year car? Anything I should look for when looking at it in person? The guy says there is no carpet, just a vinyl floor, there are holes in the roof from the light bar, the spotlight doesn't work. Otherwise he says it runs really good.

Are all gen II cop cars called P71?
